Preferably at the beginning; with step one, that is, if you’re thinking in a linear fashion. If not then even better, you just jump in at any time because it makes no difference when or where you start. There are many ways to arrive at your answer as to the best way to start. You can use a PERT chart and state your end goal first, and then work your way backwards to each step that is a requirement to progress forward to the next. Alternatively you can wait for the pressure to build up until your fear of failure and humiliation outweigh your laziness and compel you to action.
Self help gurus would have you believe there is an easy, convenient, six-step system that will unlock your hidden ability to start things and drastically improve your life. Let’s not forget of the awesome (classic sense of the word) powers of coercion which exist that someone elseĀ may want to use on you to get you to start something, perhaps something you didn’t intend, or want to do.
Well, I definitely didn’t create a PERT chart for Civilchimp.com, and I’m definitely not employing a six-step system (although maybe both of those sound like decent ideas!) and I’m DEFINITELY not an English major, but I can say this, Reader; I’m starting right now and you’ll be in for some interesting discussions. I started Civilchimp.com because I wanted a place to explore bigger topics than those that are usually discussed, things like time, space, reality, existence, human society, the future, and even death.
I have a unique background and perspective that I bring to the table (as do we all) and I can only write from that standpoint, but that’s kind of the point because I want this to be… I want this to be… Well! 300 words already! On with the show!
